What is the Widal Test
The Widal test measures antibodies in your blood that your body makes when fighting typhoid fever bacteria. It detects antibodies against Salmonella Typhi and Paratyphi bacteria that cause typhoid and paratyphoid fever.
When is this test needed
People with typhoid usually have high fever, headache, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and weakness.
