Urine test leukocytes positive

Positive for leucocytes in a urine test is indicative of bacterial infection

Normal Range

The normal range for leucocytes is upto 4 per high power field

Infection

In infection the value can go as high as 100. Even values above 10 are considered indicative of infection

Normal changes

Females may show slightly higher numbers of leucocytes, which should be clinically correlated

What treatment can i Take?

For leucocytes, the cause can be treated by urinary antiseptics, drinking lots of water and/or antibiotics. Please consult your doctor before taking any medications.
