The Glucose Tolerance Test needs you to provide 2 blood samples, one while fasting and one more , 2 hours after drinking a known amount of glucose.
Provide Fasting Blood Sample
To begin, you need to provide the first blood sample after fasting for 8-12 hours.
- Fasting: You need to fast for 8-12 hours before the test
- Timing The test must be done in the morning, first sample provided at 8 am, and second sample at 10 am.
- Medications You should take your medicines as usual on the morning of the test.
Drink 75 gram sugar solution
